Bid for Smuggling Gold, Precious Mobile Phones Foiled

KARACHI, July 17 (Online Int’l): Model Customs Collectorate foiled the attempt of smuggling gold and costly mobile phones worth Rs 6.8 million at Jinnah International Airport Friday.
Gold and 45 valuable mobiles has been retrieved from a passenger arriving in Karachi by Etihad Airways,
According to media reports Model Customs Collectorate raided and foiled the attempt of smuggling worth Rs 6,876,000 at Jinnah International Airport Karachi besides recovering gold and mobile phones in large number.
The Etihad Airways flight reached Karachi from Abu Dhabi and 45 mobile phones worth Rs 2.1 million has been retrieved from the passenger. A case has been filed against the passenger under the customs act and he has been arrested. Investigation has been started on the suspect.
