Biden takes first military order against which Islamic country?
Washington, 26th February: US President Joe Biden has taken his first military action as US forces conducted strikes in Syria. According to reports from the Pentagon, the strikes carried out targeted the Iranian militias in response to the attacks on US forces in the region over the past two weeks. A US official informed CNN that up to a handful of militants had been killed in the attack. Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin said that the army that was struck by the American forces was the same that was involved in the rocket attacks on the US. John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesperson has confirmed that the attack took place at President Biden’s direction. Kirby said, “Specifically, the strikes destroyed multiple facilities located at a border control point used by a number of Iranian-backed militant groups, including Kata’ib Hezbollah and Kata’ib Sayyid al Shuhada. The operation sends an unambiguous message; President Biden will act to protect American coalition personnel.
