Lahore, 3rd February: The Senate Standing Committee on Interior has passed a bill about the public hanging of child rapists.
Baaghi TV: The Senate Standing Committee on Interior has passed a bill suggesting child abusers should be publicly hanged by seeking amendments in sections 376 and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Senator Javed Abbasi moved the bill.
According to reports from The Current.pk, the proposed legislation says that the high courts should conduct trials of the rape cases involving children within 30 days.
It further says that the Supreme Court should hear the appeals pertaining to these cases within 60 days.
