Malik Amin Aslam, a prominent figure in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has announced his departure from the party on Thursday.

Former prime minister Imran Khan in August 2018, nominated Malik Amin Aslam for the Reserved Seat of Adviser for Climate Change to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Amin is the latest PTI high profile leader who left party after May 9 violent protests that vandalized Army buildings including Corps Commander House aka Jinnah House in Lahore Cantonment.

Also, during a press conference at Multan Press Club, eight leaders of PTI including Aun Dogar, Abdul Hai Dasti, Niaz Gashkuri, Alamdar Qureshi, Qaiser Magsi, Mujahid Matila and Sajjad Cheena parted ways from  left PTI.

Previously, Amir Kiyani also left party and politics while Faisal Vawda also left party last year.
