India: A local BJP leader murdered his wife at the insistence of his girlfriend in Rajasthan’s Ajmer, police said. The crime, which took place on August 10, was initially staged as a robbery.

On August 10, Sanju Saini was found dead under suspicious circumstances. At first, her husband Rohit Saini claimed that unidentified robbers had killed his wife and fled with valuables. However, during the investigation, police detected inconsistencies in his statements. Intense questioning led Rohit to confess to the murder and expose the conspiracy.

According to police, Rohit admitted that he killed his wife at the behest of his girlfriend. Investigations revealed that Rohit and Ritu had been in a long-term relationship, and Sanju was seen as an obstacle.

Under pressure from Ritu to “remove Sanju from the way,” Rohit executed the crime and attempted to mislead the police by framing it as a loot incident.

Police arrested Rohit Saini as the prime accused along with his girlfriend, Ritu. Authorities are now interrogating both to gather more details.
