BJP worker killed in Chhattisgarh

A BJP worker was killed by unknown gunmen in the disturbed state of Chhattisgarh.

The 35-year-old BJP worker, who was allegedly suspected of acting as a police informer, was killed in Bijapur district.

An official confirmed that the Naxalites killed the BJP worker, claiming he was working as a police informer. This marks the fifth murder of a civilian by Naxalites in the district in the last seven days.

In a separate incident, Satish Wagh (55), the uncle of Maharashtra BJP MLC Yogesh Tilekar, was allegedly abducted and murdered by unidentified persons in Pune district, a police official said.
