Islamabad (27th Aug, 2019): Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly, has stated that the British created the Kashmir problem therefore, they should play their role in its resolution.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser has stated that the Kashmir is an ‘unfinished agenda’ of the Partition plan for the Subcontinent. He has urged the British government to assert their role in its resolution keeping in consideration the ‘aspirations’ of the Kashmiri people while speaking with the delegation of the British Parliaments led by Khalid Mehmood, serving as MP in Parliament House.
The delegation is reportedly visiting Pakistan on invitation from the Speaker of National Assembly. Asad Qaiser has further stated that leaving the Kashmir dispute unresolved is major cause for disturbance of peace in the region, continuing to say that denial of the Indian government to give due rights of the people of Kashmir has helped expose the democratic outlook of India after the recent unilateral ‘succession’ of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, Qaiser has stated that the Kashmir issue serves as a flash-point and threat to peace across South Asia, adding that the International community including the Human Rights Commission and the United Nations must take notice of the situation. Additionally, Khalid Mahmood, MP has also stated that the Kashmir issue is one where ‘human catastrophe’ warrants immediate attention. Based on reports, it was also stated that the British people were aware of the plight of Kashmiri people and that the atrocities being committed by the Indian forces are highly condemnable.
