British Airways to resume flights to Lahore
Lahore, 11th October: British Airways has completed preparations for launching direct flights to Lahore.
Baaghi TV: The first flight of British Airways will fly from London to Lahore tomorrow.
A direct flight of British Airways to Lahore will reach Lahore from London on 13th October morning. At Lahore Airport, British diplomatic staff and CAA officials will receive passengers.
British Airways will operate four flights a week to London, Lahore and London. British Airways will use state-of-the-art Boeing 787 aircraft for long journeys from Lahore to London and Heathrow.
A team of British Airways experts had recently expressed satisfaction over the arrangements at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. After government approval, the CAA allowed British Airways to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport.
British Airways had requested the government of Pakistan to start flights to Lahore after they had resumed air operations in Pakistan for a few days.
British Airways flight BA 261 reached Islamabad from London. Special arrangements were made for the arrival of British Airways at Islamabad Airport.
Pakistani officials said that more than 100 passengers had arrived at Islamabad airport today through British Airways. Passengers were subjected to health counter screening and medical check-up, and British embassy staff were also present on the occasion. British embassy officials have described the arrangements at the airport as satisfactory.
