The British Council has cancelled all board examinations scheduled for today in Lahore due to the current security situation. According to their statement, “The decision to cancel the examinations was made with candidate safety as the primary concern.”

This announcement marks a reversal from yesterday’s position when the British Council Pakistan had stated that all examinations would proceed as planned despite the heightened military tensions between Pakistan and India. In their earlier official statement posted on Facebook, they had indicated, “All exams scheduled for today will proceed as planned. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.”
