A British-Pakistani woman named Mahek Bukhari, who gained fame on TikTok, and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, were found guilty by a jury after 28 hours of deliberations on Friday. They were convicted for causing a fatal car crash that resulted in the deaths of Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin, both aged 21. The tragic incident occurred near Leicester last year. During the trial at Leicester Crown Court, details emerged about the events leading up to the crash.

According to the police investigation, Mr. Hussain had been in a relationship with Ansreen Bukhari for three years. When Ansreen attempted to end the affair, Mr. Hussain threatened to reveal their relationship to her husband and share her videos. In response, Ansreen offered to repay the money Mr. Hussain had spent during their relationship. A meeting was arranged between Mr. Hussain and Ansreen Bukhari and her daughter, which ultimately led to the fatal collision.

Ansreen and Mahek Bukhari and six other defendants arrived at the agreed meet-up location in the Tesco car park in Hamilton, Leicester. The group was divided into two vehicles, an Audi TT and a Seat Leon. Meanwhile, Mr. Hussain and his friend, Mr. Ijazuddin, arrived in a Skoda Fabia.

Tragically, the collision between the two parties caused the Skoda to split into two, with its engine detaching from the body. Mr. Hussain and Mr. Ijazuddin suffered fatal injuries, losing their lives instantly before a fire broke out.

Inspector Mark Parish described the incident as a cold-blooded and heartless attack, leading to the death of two men. After orchestrating the collision by pursuing Mr. Hussain and Mr. Ijazuddin at high speed and forcing their car off the road, none of the defendants attempted to assist the victims or seek help. They callously drove away from the scene and even passed by the collision site without offering any aid.

The jury reached guilty verdicts for Rekhan Karwan and Raees Jamal for the murder charges. However, Natasha Akhtar, Ameer Jamal, and Sanaf Gulamustafa were found guilty of manslaughter but cleared of murder charges. Mohammed Patel was acquitted of all charges.
