Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has verified the credentials and licenses of all five Pakistani pilots working for Ethiopian Airlines.
According to details of Baaghi TV, Civil Aviation has expedited the process of verification of licenses of Pakistani pilots and engineers working in airlines around the world. In this regard, the CAA has investigated and cleared all five airline transport pilot license (ATPL) and declared them ‘valid’.
According to sources, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has written a letter to the CAA asking it to verify the licenses of Pakistani pilots working in Ethiopia.
In the letter to CAA, the Ethiopian Airlines asked to clarify the credentials and licenses of five Pakistani pilots working for Ethiopian Airlines. The pilots include Inamullah Jan, Shehzad Aziz, Mian Tahir Rehan, Mohammad Sohail and Mohammad Jameel.
It may be recalled that on June 30, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) suspended Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) air operations permit for European countries for six months after the case of Pakistani pilots with suspicious licenses came to light.
The United Kingdom (UK) also banned the arrival of PIA flights following the EASA ban, while the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) had recently grounded all Pakistani pilots following reports of suspicious licenses.
