CAA decides to halt PIA’s Airport Services due to non-payment
Due to non-payment of dues, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has threatened to suspend airport services including passenger boarding bridge, aircraft power supply to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft from November 1, 2021. According to the details, a dispute arose between the CAA and the PIA over non-payment, after which the authority decided to suspend the national airline’s airport services. The Director Finance of the Civil Aviation Authority has issued a notification suspending PIA’s airport services. The notification said that the national carrier owes Rs127 billion to the aviation authority.
