Aug 6, 2020: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has reinstated 28 suspended pilots of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
According to airline sources, the restored pilots will resume flight duty from tomorrow.
It may be recalled that the government had issued a list of 262 pilots, including 141 PIA pilots, on charges of forged or suspicious licenses and suspended them. Later, out of 141 names of PIA, 101 pilots were named out of which 28 have been reinstated.

According to the sources, eight more pilots will be reinstated in the next two days while the remaining cases are also being reviewed.
It should be noted that after the issue of fake licenses came to light, the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU) banned PIA flights while other countries also took action against Pakistani pilots.
