ISLAMABAD – August 8, 2025: The Islamabad district administration has issued legal notices to more than 50 mosques across the capital — including the iconic Faisal Mosque — under the Protection of Natural Landscapes Ordinance, 1966, citing violations related to environmental degradation. Sources within the administration revealed that mosques in various sectors and surrounding areas of Islamabad have recently received written notices.
