Lahore, 15th May: According to the report of Baaghi TV, a case has been registered against more than 100 people for holding a procession on the occasion of Yaum-e-Ali Karamullah Wajiha in Rawalpindi.
The day of martyrdom of Hazrat Ali is being celebrated all over the country today. Government restrictions are imposed on any gathering to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Pakistan.
Yesterday, the Punjab government banned the processions of Yaum-e-Ali across the province. Demonstrations and mourning ceremonies were held across the province on the occasion of Yau-Ali violating the government restrictions.
In Rawalpindi, the procession of Yaum-e-Ali was recovered from the Kocha Shia area of Ratta Amral police station and ended at Imambargah Colonel Maqbool.
The participants of the procession were also sprayed with sanitizer keeping in view the government SOPs. While the hands of every person who joined the procession were sanitized.
A case has been registered by Rata Amral Police Station against more than 100 people including Malik Ilyas Bhola, Shaukat Jafari, Jarar Hussain, and Maulana Akbar Jafari, the founders of the procession.
