With the finale of the last season of Game of Thrones (GoT), the uber popular TV series that graced our screens for the last decade, fans and cast members alike are still getting over their shock. Many cast members have come forward with their reactions on the finale of the series. Fans all over the world have also shown mixed reactions, while some absolutely loved it, others felt they had been cheated of time because of the unsatisfactory ending.
Elle’s Estelle Tang has even described it as, “a very talky, action-filled finale, that will give fans plenty to discuss and argue for years to come.”
Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen:
Like many others, Emilia Clarke took to Instagram to pen down her thoughts on the finale. She wrote: “Finding the words to write this post has left me overwhelmed with how much I want to say but how small words feel in comparison to what this show and Dany have meant to me. The mother of dragons chapter has taken up the whole of my adult life. This woman has taken up the whole of my heart.”
She continued to say that she has “sweated in the blaze of dragon fire” and that the series has played a major role in her personal life:
Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark:
Sophie Turner thanked her character for teaching her “resilience, bravery and what true strength really is”. She further credited her character for teaching her to be “kind and patient” and for helping her “grow up”.
In the same post she thanked her fans:
Maisie Williams as Arya Stark:
In her usual style, Maisie Williams tweeted, “Just here for the memes”.

Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth:
“THANK YOU. There is no other way to start this. @gameofthrones has changed my life beyond anything I could have comprehended. Playing Brienne of Tarth has redefined the way I look at the world, women and particularly myself” posted Gwendoline Christie on Instagram.
She continued to say:
Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo:
Jason Momoa who was killed off early on in the series, had perhaps one of the strongest reactions to the finale of GoT. He seemed displeased with how Daenerys Targaryen [played by Emilia Clarke] was killed by her nephew / lover Jon Snow in the final episode of the series’ last season that aired on 21st May.
Momoa went on to livestream his reaction, saying:
He even commented on Emilia Clarke’s post saying, “Baby that episode killed me”.
