CCPO Dogar examins Imam Bargahs’ security arrangements

Lahore: CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mahmood Dogar visited various Imam Bargahs including Khaema e Sadaat, Faisal Town Kotha Pind, Thokar Niaz Baig and other areas of the city. He reviewed the security arrangements being made for security of majalis and processions of Muharram ul Haram. DIG Operations Sajid Kiani, related divisional SsP along with other related officers also accompanied him. Capital City Police Officer Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that each and every majlis and procession of Muharram is equally important to us and Lahore Police has been providing foolproof security to all the sacred programs to ensure a peaceful Muharram ul Haram. Constant liaison with members of the Central Executive and divisional Peace Committees, religious leaders of all sects including Shia community along with organizees and license holders of majalis has been ensured to maintain peace as well as law and order in the city. CCPO Lahore stressed upon all divisional SPs to improve their supervisory as well as monitoring role during Muharram. CCPO directed the concerned officers to personally monitor the affairs of briefing of Police force deployed at Muharram programs, logistic matters, checking and clearance of roots.
