Lahore: CCPO Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev, on Monday presided over a high level meeting at Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) to review the emergency helpline 15 calls data analysis.
Chief Operating Officer PSCA Muhammad Kamran Khan, DIG Investigation Shehzada Sultan, DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan, SSP Operations, SP CIA, SP Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff( AVLS), Operations Commander IC-3 and other related officers attended the meeting. Chief Operating Officer Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Muhammad Kamran Khan briefed Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev about the CCTV cameras installed in the city by the authority and its Command and Communication System in detail along with analysis of data of helpline 15 calls, crime Hotspot and crime pockets, the specific crimes committed in particular timings, crimes trend and tendency as well as the response time of Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit and the police station personnel. Muhammad Kamran Khan also briefed the CCPO Lahore regarding the interlinked working relationship of Lahore Police and PSCA. Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Kamran Khan said that around two and a half thousand private cameras have been interlinked with Punjab Safe Cities Authority monitoring system in collaboration with Lahore Police. Lahore CCPO Fayyaz Ahmed Deo also reviewed the crime heat map. Fayyaz Ahmed Deo further said that Punjab Safe Cities Authority data is helping in crime control. CCPO Lahore directed to provide more personnel to CIA and AVLS wings to improve their working. The CCPO Lahore also reviewed the hotspots of motorcycles theft, aerial firing and one wheeling and crime ratio according to Heat map. COO Punjab Safe Cities Authority Kamran Khan informed that PSCA has been providing latest technology based assistance to the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) to curb crimes in the city. CCPO Lahore Fayyaz Ahmad Dev highlighted the significance of latest technology in operational and strategic policing to serve humanity and curb crime. He directed to enhance patrolling in hotspot areas of crime and improve response time at emergency helpline 15 calls. Commander Lahore Police further directed all wings of Police to get complete help from the latest monitoring systems of Punjab Safe Cities Authority to curb crime and maintain law and order situation in the city. Fayyaz Ahmad Dev said Lahore police in coordination with PSCA is taking all concrete measures to ensure life and property of the citizens. PSCA is the most important security project and a national assest, providing all possible estate of the art technical support to the Lahore police according to their demand to enable and equipped them with latest technology to eradicate crimes, the CCPO Lahore concluded.
