The CCTV footage of the Jaffar household has been labelled as the most important document of the case; the video was submitted to the court and was shared with the defendant’s legal team.
On the same day of sharing the footage with the defense team, the footage was reportedly “leaked” to all news channels on the national TV. As a result to this, the entirety of Twitter and Instagram went in a frenzy.

The people went as far as taking their anger out on Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). As a result of the backlash faced, it has been reported that PEMRA has issued a notice of banning the CCTV footage from being shown, if not, there will be serious action taken.
