It’s about the man who, at 25, declared to his cousin that by 35 he would head a company, and by 45 he would own one.

In 1985, he brought back two exquisite branded handbags from abroad, one for his wife and one for me. When I hesitated in making a choice, he insisted I keep both, exemplifying his selflessness.

Each cousin holds cherished memories with him, each feeling uniquely loved, yet all testament to his immense heart and devotion to family.
As we bid farewell to him, taken too soon by cancer, the sentiment “May Allah grant him Jannat” brings a smile. If not him, then who else? He was a man who cherished God’s creation.
I raise my glass in a salute! In a single line, his life can be thus summarized: “He Lived Life.”
