Celebrations for upcoming Christmas in full swing
Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam Augustine said that the series of celebrations upcoming Christmas is in full swing across the Pakistan while the Christian community in Punjab also welcoming Christmas with full enthusiasm.
“Humanity comes first in every religion and the most prominent is the position of doctors and nurses who are engaged in the service of humanity without any discrimination,” he said. These views were expressed by Provincial Minister Ijaz Alam while addressing a cake cutting ceremony at the new OPD Auditorium of Punjab Institute of Cardiology on Saturday. the ceremony was organized by the Christian Peace Unity Committee. a large number of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff of PIC attended the ceremony along MS PIC. Special songs from the Christian community were performed in the ceremony. Provincial Minister Ejaz Alam said in his address that a wave of enthusiasm is running in the Christian community as soon as the month of December arrives.he further said that Muslims and followers of other religions also share joys of Christian community to prove that we being a citizen of Pakistan are peace lovers and to promote interfaith is our mission. At the end of the ceremony, Pastor Shehzad offered special prayers for the development and prosperity of Pakistan while the provincial minister cut the Christmas cake with the Christian community.
