As per reports, CEO PIA assured of the cooperation and promise to sponsor Gwadar operation.
Under the national goal of promoting Gwadar, PIA will not make any profit on Gwadar flights.
CEO Arshad Malik informed that due to the short runway of Gwadar and lack of refuelling, flights to Karachi are still compulsory.
Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that PIA will operate national and international flights from Gwadar from new Gwadar airport. PIA will fully support and co-operate with all trade initiatives for Afghanistan.
He informed that Europe, UK and US direct flights depend on lifting of the ban. PIA has completed its part and is now awaiting a decision in which the regulator has a role to play.
Special Corporate Package has been announced for Rawalpindi Chambers. Memorandum of Understanding on all matters will be signed soon.
