Due to the huge rush on bookings, PIA has sought permission from the Saudi administration for 28 more flights. Permits are expected in one to two days, after which the flight operation will be expanded.

The national airline will operate 23 flights a week to Saudi Arabia. PIA officials have asked the Saudi government to allow 26 weekly flights. Initially, PIA will operate flights to three Saudi cities, Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh.
