June 15, 2021: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza met with officials including the Egyptian President.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza visited Egypt According to DG ISPR, General Nadeem Raza had a meeting with Egyptian President General Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. During the meeting, military cooperation, counter-terrorism and regional security were discussed. There was a focus on giving key importance to fraternal relations in Egypt.
According to DG ISPR, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed his feelings for the Pakistani forces. General Nadeem Raza said that Pakistan was keen to expand bilateral military cooperation with Egypt. The Egyptian President appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the war on terror.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Nadeem Raza also had separate meetings with Egyptian officials. He also met with General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki, Minister of Defense and Chief Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza led the second round of talks. He highlighted Pakistan’s positive role in countering the effects of violent extremism, regional stability, connectivity and beyond. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza also briefed on Pakistan’s contribution and efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Earlier, on arrival at the Ministry of Defense, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza was presented with a Guard of Honor by the Egyptian Armed Forces.
