Chairman Kashmir Committee to get a new post

ISLAMABAD, 21st October: Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Afridi has been given the post of Federal Minister for his best services.

According to reports, on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chairman Kashmir Committee has been given the post of Federal Minister.

The federal government acknowledged the efforts of Chairman Kashmir Committee Shehryar Khan Afridi to make the Kashmir Committee functional and gave him the post of Federal Minister. Shehryar Afridi was serving as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee as Minister of State.

He is being given the post of Federal Minister to play a role in diplomacy on Kashmir issue around the world. The new post has been fixed on the instructions of the Prime Minister and a notification has also been issued in this regard.

It may be recalled that Shehryar Khan Afridi had earlier been the Minister of State for Home Affairs and Minister of State for Inter-Provincial Coordination (SAFRAN) and Counter Narcotics. After withdrawing both the portfolios from him, Chairman Kashmir Committee was formed.
