Chairman of United Business Group Appraises Decision to Extend Gen. Bajwa’s Tenure

Lahore (20th Aug, 2019): Iftikhar Ali Malik, central Chairman of the United Business Group (UBG) welcomes extension in tenure of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Qamar Javed Bajwa,  for a period of three years. 

According to reports, the central Chairman of UBG has welcomed the extension in tenure for the COAS stating that Bajwa has been a cause of boosted morale in the Pakistan Army, adding that under Qamar Javed Bajwa’s leadership, the army has managed to stand up to external threats as well as carrying out a successful war against terror in the region.

Iftikhar Malik has further mentioned in a statement issued earlier today, that General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s leadership, patriotism and integrity are crucial for Pakistan at a time when the state is facing a grave crisis in Kashmir. He added that the nation must “feel comfortable” knowing that “our armed forces are in good hands”.

Malik has added that the Prime Minister must have made the decision keeping in mind the demands of the moment, that an important member of the team must not be changed.
