Rawalpindi, September 04, (Online Int’l): Chaklala Cantonment Board has decided to start water metering system to prevent water loss.
According to media reports, in the first phase, water metering will be started in the housing schemes 1 to 3 in the Chaklala cantt area. A proposal to start water metering in commercial properties is also under consideration. Following the success of this system in housing schemes and commercial areas, water metering will be introduced in other residential areas of the cantonment.
According to Cantt. Board sources, this will not only prevent water wastage but also alleviate people’s complaints of water shortages.
