Lahore (February 22, 2021): Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Monis Elahi meet Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, to formulate action plan for Senate elections.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar was received by Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Member National Assembly Monis Elahi at the Chief Minister’s House here in which several proposals regarding Senate elections were reviewed in consultation with the coalition leadership.
The three leaders finalized the strategy for the Senate, while forming various groups and giving tasks to party leaders. Law Minister Raja Basharat was also present in the meeting and briefed the members on contacts established.
On the occasion, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi commented, “Allies are on the same page regarding Senate, nominated candidates will work together to win.”
Monis Elahi was also present in the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office. Issues of mutual interest, political situation and Senate election were discussed. There was a detailed consultation between the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly regarding the Senate election. The agenda items were consideration of strategies to make PTI and PML-Q candidates successful in Senate elections.
According to Monis Elahi, the numbers are satisfactory, the allies are on the same page and, insha’Allah success will be achieved, more contacts and meetings will continue regarding Senate elections and candidates.
The PTI and PML-N leaders will liaise with the MNAs. Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the allies are on the same page regarding the Senate, together they will make the nominated candidates successful. Member National Assembly Monis Elahi said that the numbers game has been completed and insha-Allah there will be success, more contacts will be made regarding the Senate.
On the occasion, Usman Buzdar made statements that, “All the candidates of the ruling coalition in Punjab will be successful. Consultations have started for the success of Senate election candidates. Our candidates will win the Senate election with more votes than expected. We will win the Senate election through a unified approach. Allies will accompany the party at every opportunity.”
