Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly facing severe criticism from his country’s retired military officers, politicians and the public for his defeat at the hands of China in Ladakh.
On the other hand, the issue of Narendra Modi being called Surender Modi by Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has become a regular trend today. It has become a top trend on Twitter at the moment. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had issued a statement to explain the incident in Ladakh. China did not enter the Gulwan Valley and did not occupy any Indian outpost.
Modi’s statement was subsequently criticized on Indian media and social media by opposition politicians, former senior officers of the Indian Army and the general public.The trend of #SurenderModi was followed by a hashtag on Twitter which became a top trend.
Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the largest opposition party, the Congress, also tweeted that the prime minister had withdrawn from his areas against the Chinese aggression. If the land was Chinese, why were our soldiers killed? Where were they killed?
