China rejects Indian stance on Kashmir

BEIJING: Opposing the Indian stance in occupied Kashmir, Chinese Foreign minister Wang Yi said that China is deeply concerned over the current situation in Kashmir and the tension between Pakistan and India.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met the Foreign Minister of India Subramanian J. Shankar. He said that China is keeping a close eye on the current situation in Kashmir and opposes any unilateral move that would complicate the situation.

According to Chinese media, Foreign Minister Wang Xi said that the amendment of India’s constitutional status in Kashmir created tensions in the region. He said that Pakistan and India should resolve the issue peacefully and work together for the overall security and stability in the region.
