BEIJING (26th Nov. 2022): Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that he values his relationship with North Korea, according to State Media reports.
President Xi Jinping has reportedly said that he values his relationship with North Korea, amid heightened military threats in the region. According to reports, President Xi said “I attach great importance to China-DPRK relations”.
It is pertinent to note that North Korea is currently revamping its provocation and “tit-for-tat military moves” against the United States (US) and its allies. The move comes after North Korea test-fired its intercontinental ballistic missile last week. Meanwhile, tensions are escalating with the US and South Korea responding with bomb strike drills and sanctions against N. Korea.
According to KCNA (Korea Central News Agency) reports, President Xi said, “The world, the times and history are now changing in an unprecedented way” under which China is ready for a fresh “and positive contribution” to provide “greater well-being” to the people of North Korea and China.
