Chinese Ambassador calls on Chairman Senate in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Nong Rong called on chairman Senate Mr. Sadiq Sanjrani at Parliament House, Islamabad on Thursday. 

During the meeting, the ambassador and chairman senate discussed issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and the People’s Republic of China.

Chairman Senate emphasized the need for collective efforts to promote peace, prosperity and development in the region surrounding the two countries.

Sadiq Sanjrani was of the view that strategic cooperative partnership will profoundly strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, taking the relationship between the two brotherly countries to new heights.

Chairman Senate also expressed support for the One China Policy, an issue which as at the very core of Chinese national interest. Sadiq Sanjrani appreciated China’s support for Pakistan on issues of national interest, especially the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) dispute.

The feeling seemed to have reciprocated, as the ambassador said that China too wants to further strengthen its bilateral ties with Pakistan and enhance the economic cooperation between the two countries. Mr. Nong Rong added that China will continue its efforts alongside Pakistan to ensure regional peace and stability.
