Following claims of the Indian Ministry that Chinese casualties are nearly double their own, the Chinese Ministry has denied the reports.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has denied reports that Beijing has lost a dozen soldiers in the recent conflict with Indian forces in the Galwan valley. Reportedly, the Ministry spokesperson has said that the neighboring countries are currently working to ‘defuse tensions’ in the region.

While addressing a Press Conference in the capital, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, has further added that the reports of Chinese casualties is “fake”. According to reports of rt.com, the Chinese leader was taking a jab at the Indian Minister for Roads and Transport, V. K. Singh, who had allegedly stated that nearly forty Chinese personnel had been martyred in the clash with India, in the Galwan valley.

Moreover, while speaking on Tuesday, Zhao had added that Beijing is constantly in touch with New Delhi in the hopes to diffuse the escalation. He had reportedly told the reporters that both, “military and diplomatic” means are being deployed for the purpose, according to reports of rt.com website.

It is to be noted that China and India have been in conflict due to the ‘poorly defined’ border issue in the Eastern Ladakh in India and Aksai Chin in China, respectively. The dispute which reportedly escalated in early June is reported to be the first in decades, following reports of a break-out between soldiers across both borders.

Sources have confirmed that the Indian administration has reported that twenty of its soldiers have perished due to the conflict at Ladakh. In the meanwhile, China is being accused by New Delhi for attempting to “change the status quo” of the disputed region and for taking what is considers to be a “pre-meditated” and “planned” action.

It is to be noted, that despite claims being made by India, Beijing has maintained that it the conflict was provoked by Indian who provoked the PLA troops into the clash. In addition to this, China has yet to confirm causalities on its own end.
