Christian Turner apologises on UK visa decision delay, assures momentum
British High Commissioner Christian Turner Tuesday apologized to the visa applications from Pakistan on delay in decisions of their U.K. visas.
Turner promised to improve the situation.
He said that said the British visa has been delayed for quite some time due to multiple reasons and they have estimated and realised that visa delays disrupted people’s travel plans.
British High Commissioner assured Pakistanis that High Commission has been removing obstacles in obtaining visas in Pakistan.
U.K. Home office said that standard visitor visa applications are currently taking on average 6 weeks to process but they are working hard to process applications to get back to the 3-week service.

He said in future people wishes to go to the UK should apply for a visa as soon as possible.
The British top envoy termed corona pandemic and a shortage of visa staff were the reasons behind visa delays response.
