Innovative Hub, inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, is a programme which aims at the inclusion of citizens in policymaking decisions.
As the name speaks for itself, this platform would be accessible to all citizens of Pakistan and anyone can submit an innovative policy idea which he/she wants the government to implement. The ideas would be assessed and approved by a team of members which includes Mosharraf Zaidi, economist Shahrukh Wani, Ayesha Raza Farooq and Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Mr. Prime Minister will also reward the submitters who submit the best ideas for policy decisions. Shahbaz Sharif said that special cells dedicated to this new project will be established in each ministry so the youth can provide proposals for the government and its various departments.
The Prime Minister was briefed by the Strategic Reforms Unit on the programme. All sensible proposals sent by citizens would be reviewed by the team via a national TV programme before the best one is used to implement in policymaking.
The attendants of the inauguration ceremony expressed their views in front of the Prime Minister and suggested him ideas for public policy.
