
Lahore, 1st March: Punjab has arranged for 170 million vaccine doses to inoculate its citizens.
Baaghi TV: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said on Monday the province would soon begin to jab the citizens as it has arranged for about 170 million COVID-19 vaccine doses via the Punjab corona fund.
Speaking to the media, the provincial minister said soon the drive to vaccinate citizens would begin starting with people aged 65 and above who would be given preference.
Dr Rashid added that the government has procured 170 million vaccine doses for the people from those funds which will be available shortly in Punjab.
According to earlier reports, Punjab received its third consignment of 70,000 corona vaccine doses on Sunday.
However, according to sources, the health professionals of the province appeared reluctant to get vaccinated against coronavirus as only 35pc of the staff have been vaccinated despite the period of 23 days.
