CJP remarks court need solutions on elections date not explanations

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial heard the elections simultaneous case.

Attorney General of Pakistan appeared in the court where leaders of political parties were also present in the court.

Barrister Ali Zafar also appeared in the court, Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial pointed out the attorney general and said that the Attorney General, “We need your trust.”

Shah Mehmood Qureshi tried to come to the rostrum, on which Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal said that Qureshi Sahib, “You sit down, we will listen to you.”

Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial while talking to the Attorney General said that Attorney General, you should keep in mind that everyone except one party has agreed on a date that we have given to negotiate.

“It is your job, we don’t want any explanation on this, we are here so that you can find a solution for it, the Attorney General said, give us time for negotiations, the first contact between the government and the opposition on April 19.”

A negotiating meeting was agreed on April 26 and on April 25, Ayaz Sadiq and Khawaja Saad Rafiq met with Asad Qaiser.

There was objection to the negotiations but a way was found.

Chairman of Senate has written letters to the government and the Opposition in the Upper House and asked for four names from the government and the opposition.
