CM Punjab orders to take effective measures to prevent urban flooding

Lahore, 28th August: Punjab Chief Minister has ordered issues to take preventive measures against the urban flooding in the province.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered to take effective measures to prevent urban flooding.

The Punjab Chief Minister has said that 24-hour monitoring of storm drains, and water channels should be carried out in the province.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that precautionary measures should be taken to deal with urban flooding in the low lying areas of different cities due to rains.

The Punjab Chief Minister has directed to ensure the provision of equipment, machinery, and other resources required for the prevention of urban flooding in advance, and said that if the water is stagnated in roads and markets, he would take stern action. This is not a tolerable situation.

It rained early in the morning in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, after which, as usual, more than 45 LESCO feeders tripped.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rains will continue intermittently and the monsoon spell will continue to rain in the city till Sunday. After the rains, the situation remained the same in the city. The traffic system on the roads was also disrupted and the citizens faced severe problems.
