Retired Indian Army officer Colonel Amit Kumar has made shocking allegations of sexual abuse within the Indian Army stating that his wife was raped after he brought her from the family ward.
Col. Kumar said that the assault occurred in Odisha, where police were complicit, and generals and brigadiers violated her dignity. He said that his wife was raped by senior military officers, and despite video evidence, no case has been properly registered, and the accused officers were cleared of charges.
Kumar further said that the investigation was carried out by the same officers accused in the case, raising concerns about a potential cover-up. He also claims that the hospital has withheld medical records of the assault.
The retired colonel has stated that the top commanders are spreading false narratives to tarnish his wife’s character and questioned the silence of the Army Chief on such grave crimes against women. Kumar has vowed to expose the Western Command of the Indian Army, alleging that the Modi government is incompetent in handling such cases, and victims are being pressured through character assassination and manipulated videos.
Kumar’s allegations have raised serious concerns about the Indian Army’s handling of sexual abuse cases and the safety of women within the organization.
