Constitutional petition filed for the Presidential System

Lahore, 3rd September: Another constitutional petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for the implementation of the presidential system in the country.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the petition has been filed by Ahmad Raza Kasuri on behalf of All Pakistan Muslim League-Jinnah. The petition has been filed under Article 184 (3) of the Constitution.
The petition requested the court to order the Prime Minister to hold a referendum for the implementation of the presidential system.

According to reports, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the presidential system. The parliamentary system of government has failed, the presidential system has become necessary to protect the rights of the people.
Chairman Hum Awam Party Tahir Aziz Khan has filed a petition in the Supreme Court for a presidential system. The petitioner has taken the position that the presidential system has become indispensable for the protection of the fundamental rights of the people in Pakistan as the parliamentary system of government has completely failed to protect the rights of the people.

Now the majority of the country is in favor of the presidential system in the country, which is why the petitioner has taken the same position.
The court is requested to give a chance to hold a referendum in the country. The 1973 constitution also allows it.
In the petition, President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Election Commission, and four provincial governments have been made parties. It should be noted that Haroon Al-Rasheed and anchor Imran Khan, who are considered to be supporters of the ruling party, also spoke about the presidential system.

Haroon Rashid said that the establishment has decided to bring a presidential system in the country.
Anchor Imran Khan had also said that a referendum could be held in Pakistan and this referendum could take place after the end of the coronavirus pandemic. He made it clear to the government that the presidential system is by no means acceptable.
