Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority has announced the resumption of direct flights which had been suspended for the past several months for six countries, including Pakistan, in light of decreasing coronavirus cases.

According to foreign media, direct flights to Pakistan, India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal from Kuwait were suspended for the past several months due to COVID-19.

However, now they will resume and the first flight is expected to reach Kuwait from Egypt on Wednesday, followed by two flights from India.

The decision to restore flights from these countries was taken by the Ministerial Council earlier this week on the recommendations of the Coronavirus Ministerial Committee following a reduction in coronavirus cases in the country.

On the other hand, the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority has issued a new order for Umrah pilgrims.

Reports state that it is now mandatory to get a vaccine for either Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson to go to Saudi Arabia. According to the order, the coronavirus PCR test has also been made mandatory, which should be conducted 72 hours before coming to Saudi Arabia.
