Coronavirus: Islamabad reports its first case

Islamabad, 14th March: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, Islamabad reports its first case of coronavirus today, in a 30-year-old woman who has recently returned from the US.

Local media has reported that Pakistan’s 29th case of coronavirus has been detected in a woman in Islamabad who was been shifted to PIMS hospital immediately.

According to the sources from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, a positive case of coronavirus in a 30-year-old woman has been reported today, who had recently returned fro the United States and was previously taking medical treatment in a private hospital.

Her condition is very critical and after being transferred to the hospital she has been placed on a ventilator.

This has been the first case reported from the Federal Capital, earlier three cases were also reported from Islamabad, but they had been diagnosed in Gilgit-Baltistan and surrounding areas and brought to the federal capital for treatment.

Today the first case of coronavirus in Lahore has been detected in a woman who had recently returned from Dubai. She is also being treated at a hospital now and is under observation.

This has created panic among the citizens as officially the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 29 in Pakistan.

Globally, over 5,000 people have died and more than 140,000 infected by COVID-19, with the disease spreading into new territories. The World Health Organization has declared Europe the new epicenter of the infection, with Italy and Spain in particular reporting a dramatic rise in cases.
