Gwadar Pro’s Zoon Khan gives an exclusive look into China’s ‘new normal’ post COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Zoon Ahmad Khan of Gwadar Pro, the Chinese public is increasingly progressing towards life in what she considers the ‘new normal’ for the post-COVID world. In one of her recent videos she talks about how the Chinese public continues to follow the World Health Organization (WHO) dictated mandate as they move into normal life following the outbreak.
When China was facing the worst of #COVIDー19 epidemic, Pakistanis across the board stepped up to show their support. Today, Chinese people are doing everything they can to help Pakistan 🇵🇰🇨🇳- here are some messages shared by Chinese scholars of Urdu, “we are in this together” ❤️ pic.twitter.com/NdwwYOfIyH

Khan raises some much needed arguments pertaining to the outbreak such as the propaganda propagated by the President of the United States who insists that COVID-19 is in fact a Chinese manufactured virus.
Khan who is a journalist at the Belt & Road Strategy Institute, says that there are more people in public with many more roads on cars than there were prior to the zero-active cases report by Wuhan, China where the virus had its outbreak in late last year. She says that she is grateful to see traffic on the roads, but more importantly, Khan argues that the global community needs to understand that every government missed out on opportunities to tackle the virus.
Indirectly talking about US, she highlights that instead of blaming China, we need to focus on steps to combat the virus itself.
According to Khan, it is not patriotic to hide ones shortcomings and faults rather it is striving to improve. She adds that aiming to be better should be the priority of the global community and if one must be blamed it is oneself, and ones own government. Khan further reiterates that WHO never asked governments to be afraid of the virus rather, to handle it with care and to take quick action.
“Humanity is a real concept and COVID-19 is making us realize that”, said Zoon Khan.
Talking about the Belt & Road Strategy, Khan added that it is an initiative of which Pakistan is a part. Khan said that the idea is to gauge how easily these associated states may be able to tackle the novel virus. For instance Pakistan is being greatly helped by any and all Chinese association working within Pakistan more than other national or international organizations within the state.
