Coronavirus: Pak army summoned to take over

Islamabad, 23rd March: The coronavirus has threatened the country now and many people have been affected so far, the toll reaching 805 in Pakistan. 

According to the reports of BaaghiTV, the Pak Army has been called on an urgent basis to assist the government to control the current situation faced by the coronavirus crisis.

After the Sindh government, the governments of Punjab and Balochistan have also called the army to intervene to prevent the spread of the virus.

The Balochistan government has written a letter to the Pakistan Army to give them the civil powers under Article 245, the army will have civil powers to deal with the emergency situation throughout the province.

Chief Minister Usman Bazdar informed about the decision to summon the army at the press conference. He said that the army is being sought for the help of civil administration under section 245.

Section 144 is enforced, according to the law, institutions will work, and people can go out but with precautions and only when necessary.

According to Usman Buzdar, he informed that tomorrow’s cabinet meeting will take some decisions keeping in view the situation of the poor people who will not be able to earn their wages during such a crisis.

It is further elaborated that it is not a strict curfew but a measure taken for the protection of the people, its a curfew with a little change, This does not mean that curfew is imposed and you cannot get out.

In Punjab, a double ride on a motorbike will be banned, staying at home is the only way to save yourself from the coronavirus.

It is informed that the government will carry out their meetings daily in this regard. Fruit and vegetable shops, pharmacies and grocery stores will remain open.
