Coronavirus: PIA suspends flights to Beijing

Islamabad (24th Feb, 2020): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended its flight operations to China and Japan due to growing concerns of Coronavirus.

According to reports, PIA has suspended all flights to Beijing and Tokyo due to the growing concerns pertaining to the spread of Coronavirus. Reports confirm that the flights will remain suspended until the 15th of March, 2020.

Moreover, a spokesperson for PIA has confirmed that till the decided date, that is, March 15th, after which the authorities will decide to extend the suspension or if the flights should commence.

Additionally, the spokesperson stressed that flights to Beijing and Tokyo have been stopped with immediate action and that the passengers have accordingly been notified.
