Coronavirus rising in Islamabad, many sectors sealed
ISLAMABAD: Around 10 streets of different sectors have been sealed due to increase in cases of coronavirus in the federal capital, Islamabad.
According to the details, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Hamza Shafqat said that 10 streets in different sectors have been sealed after the increase in cases of coronavirus in the federal capital.
The Deputy Commissioner said that street number 46 and 23 in F-11 have been completely sealed and three streets of I-8/2, I-8/3 and I-8/4 have also been completely sealed.

According to the DC, three streets of I-10/2 and G-11/2 have also been sealed. Different streets of two private housing societies will also be sealed. All these streets have been sealed under the Smart Lockdown technique.

It should be noted that the Ministry of National Health had recommended smart lockdown in Islamabad.
The District Health Officer (DHO) had written a letter to the district administration of the federal capital stating that cases of coronavirus surveillance were being reported in the streets of different sectors. The DHO said in a letter that the closure of streets with coronavirus cases was inevitable.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 832 more coronaviurs cases were reported in the country during the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 327,895.
Nine more people died of the coronavirus in the country in 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 6,736, while the condition of 562 patients is critical.
