According to the report of Baaghi TV, the bail application of Captain R Safdar and other accused in the riot case on the occasion of Maryam Nawaz’s NAB appearance has been rejected.
Additional Sessions Judge Shakeel Ahmed dismissed the bail application. When the case was heard today, the court rejected the bail application. Police presented a report in court and requested that bail be removed. It is not within the jurisdiction of the court to hear the bail application. Captain R Safdar’s lawyer said the case was illegal, first stoned by the police and then enraged by the workers. We have no involvement. The court rejected the bail plea of the accused after the hearing.
On the occasion of Maryam Nawaz’s NAB appearance, a case was registered against PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and other personalities, members of assembly and workers at Chohang police station on the request of NAB against the incident of attack on NAB office by PML-N workers.
Other PML-N figures named in the case include Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Zubair, Javed Latif, Bilal Yaseen and others. The provisions of 16 MPO have been added.
The text of the petition said that workers led by Maryam Safdar pelted stones at the officials. Maryam Nawaz attacked NAB at the behest of her husband Safdar Awan. League officials pelted stones, injuring 13 officials, including NAB employees.
