Court issues major decision on disqualification petition of Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar
According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the court has ruled on the disqualification petition of Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar, in the Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court. The court rejected the disqualification petition of Federal Minister Khusro Bakhtiar and the disqualification petition of Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Javan Bakht. Petitioner Ahsan Abid had filed the petition accusing Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar and his brother Hashim Javanbakht of making assets in excess of their income and not disclosing them. The petition contends that the two brothers made assets in excess of their income and did not disclose them, while the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan has also been asked to take action against them. The court directed NAB to decide the pending petition within three months as per the law, but NAB Multan has now directed NAB Lahore to take further action. The petitioner said that the progress of the inquiry was also not being communicated.
