COVID-19: 245 cases in Sindh put Karachi in lockdown
Karachi, 20th March: With the increasing number of people effecting from COVID-19 in Pakistan, many cities are going under lockdown, halting their activities and social gatherings. According to the reports of Baaghi TV, the toll from the outbreak of the coronavirus that has started from Wuhan, a city in China, has increased up to 455 in Pakistan. So far 245 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Sindh and 81 cases in Balochistan. 80 cases have been reported in Punjab, 23 cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 21 cases of coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1 case in Azad Kashmir, while 7 cases have been reported in Islamabad. In Karachi today, the first patient died of coronavirus, the patient was 77 years old who was also suffering from cancer and diabetes. Sindh Provincial Health Minister Azra Pechoho said, in Sindh, 241 patients are being treated in various hospitals, of which 93 are in Karachi and 151 in Sukkur. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said yesterday, Rs 7.21 billion has been sent to the Health and Commissioner Sukkur Department, and all the funds will be spent on buying the equipment for the disease.
