COVID-19: A ban imposed in the country with the rise of cases

Islamabad, 9th October: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has reportedly issued new guidelines in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country and the possibility of banning public gatherings.

According to sources, the guidelines issued by the NCOC state that public gatherings can lead to an increase in the pandemic, so such events should be avoided as much as possible. Consideration is being given to holding large gatherings.

The NCOC said in a statement that “large public gatherings are banned worldwide because such programs pose a significant risk to COVID-19. Urgent gatherings should be held with SOPs.”

The NCOC statement said, “Public gatherings are likely to spread other diseases, including coronavirus. Such gatherings could jeopardize national success against the pandemic. Such events should be avoided.”

The statement said, “Strategies are being prepared for public gatherings. The final decision on permission or holding will be taken at the NCC meeting.”

Earlier, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had also expressed concern that the expected meetings and rallies of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) could spread the virus in the country.

It may be mentioned that PDM has announced anti-government rallies under which the first program will be held on October 16 in Gujranwala area of ​​Punjab, second program on October 18 in Karachi, third on October 25 in Quetta and November 30 in Multan and a meeting will be held on December 13 in Lahore.
